Simon Howarth has been a Councillor for over 18 years and is a newly appointed Member to the National Park Authority.

He is married to a community midwife and has twin sons. He is a keen cyclist and races for Pontypool Racing Club, as well as enjoying cyclocross in the winter.

He lives within the Brecon Beacons National Park, and believes it is such a wonderful location to reside, as many visitors remind him.
