Apologies were received from Cllr G Ratcliffe, Cllr A James and Ms S Holden.

The Chair welcomed the CEO to her first official PAROW meeting.

The Chair advised regarding ongoing concerns re phosphates and added we have received our first appeal decision in relation to a non-determination due to phosphates.

The Chair asked Ms Tracy Nettleton, Planning and Heritage Manager to advise of the new starters in the planning team.  She advised that Sophie Jones joined the policy team on 12^th July from Friends of the Earth, Julia Prosina joined the enforcement team on 28^th July from Morrison Water, Alex Escott joined the planning ecology team on 6^th September from Ove Arup.  It was also noted that as we welcome Lisa Williams back from maternity leave we bid farewell to Sarah Jenkins who covered Lisa’s post over the last twelve months.  Tracy and the Chair thanked Sarah for her hard work.

To receive any declarations of interest from members relating to items on the agenda.  Members’ attention is drawn to the sheet attached to the attendance sheet and the need to record their declarations verbally and in writing, specifying the nature of the interest.

The Chair was authorised to sign the Minutes of the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority Planning, Access and Rights of Way Committee held on 6^th June 2021 as a correct record.

Report for noting

Mr Richard Ball, Access Officer, gave Members a brief update on the confirmed minutes of the Local Access Forum (LAF) third meeting held on 8^th April 2021.  The minutes and report were noted.

Resolved that pursuant to the provisions of Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the Meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that there would be disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 12, 13, 17 and 18 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the above Act and the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.
