The Chair announced that he would hand over to Mr Alan Southerby, Consultant DM Manager to advice with regard to the recruitment in planning.  Mr Southerby advised that Davina Powell is now a Principal Planning Officer (Development Management), Lisa Hughes is now a Principal Planning Officer (Enforcement), Lisa Williams (currently on maternity leave) and Lisa Hughes are now Senior Planning Officers.  He advised there will be recruitment to follow to replace those officers who have been promoted in relation to the above posts.

20/18718/FUL – Change of use to allow use as Class A1 retail use, with ancillary storage at first floor, incorporating alterations to exterior of the building implemented as part of planning permission 17/15404/FUL, with enabling works – Crickhowell Conservative Club, High Street, Crickhowell, NP8 1BW

 

 

 

Mr J Stedman declared a personal and prejudicial interest in this item and withdrew from the meeting, Cllr E Roderick, Deputy Chair, took the role of Chair.

 

Members took a short break to resolve technical issues.

 

The Members were provided with a detailed presentation by the Case Officer, Mrs Ffion Bevan.

Late correspondence was received from Crickhowell and District Civic Society and Harrison Clark Rickerby Solicitors were summarised by the Case Officer.

 

Mrs Bevan read a legal statement from Geldards Solicitors and advise that Mr Charles Feldman of the same was in attendance to answer questions relating to legal issues.

Cllr L Alexander of Crickhowell Town Council addressed members in opposition to the application.  A copy of the text had been provided for the file.

 

Mr D Williams of Crickhowell and District Civic Society addressed members in opposition to the application.  A copy of the text had been provided for the file.

Cllr J Hill withdrew from the meeting due to a prior engagement.

The Officer recommendation to permit subject to the conditions set out in the report was put to Members.

Decision:
